The face of the African American player is swamped by the dark tone, as to how several generations of black talents remain unseen in the fold of history.
The name of the local sports team might be the best word to summarize the cultural landscape of a city in a specific era. For the City of Atlanta, in the 1900s, that would be an African American minor league baseball team「Black Crackers」.
This episode depicts the route of this untold team, their origin, demise, and all in-between. Allen Joyce acts as the primary source of this episode through an interview. Allen conducted his Master's thesis at Emory University, "The Atlanta Black Crackers," in 1975 and is considered the first scholar to explore this topic.
